Two men are preparing to hunt near an Intimidator® UTV in the forest.UTVs are an incredible tool for many different tasks and when the fall season comes around, they quickly become a preferred vehicle for hunters. Our team at Spartan Intimidator has a few quick tips for turning your UTV into the perfect hunting tool!

Select the Right Gear and Accessories

The great thing about UTVs is the way they come standard is already capable of going through the terrain of a wooded area or a field. This means you shouldn’t need to make any crazy upgrades or changes to your UTV to use it for hunting.

What you will need to do, however, is choose the appropriate gear for hunting with your UTV. You may need to bring extra tie downs and a tarp or blanket to place in your UTV bed. Your riding gear will also look a bit different than usual, but you’ll still need to wear and keep the right safety gear with you. Your toolbox will probably look a bit different too!

Be Prepared for Weather and Terrain Changes

When you're outdoors during October and November, it’s very important to be prepared for unexpected weather changes and differences in terrain. You might encounter higher winds, for example. It can be helpful to bring along materials that can assist in emergency situations and carry a battery-powered radio to keep up to date with the forecast.

Remember to abide by local hunting laws and regulations as well. Double check the rules in relation to using a recreational powersports vehicle for hunting in your area.
